Foundations of
Islamic Jurisprudence
Start your Fiqh journey with one of the best resources available in the English language! This course follows Sheikh Hatem al-Haj’s commentary on Umdat ul-Fiqh, a primary Hanbali Fiqh text by Imam ibn Qudamah. This curriculum mirrors a Bachelor-level study, offered at institutions like Al-Azhar and Mishkah Universities.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often are the classes?
AQD-101 is offered in-person at the Brisbane Madina Centre. These classes are one Saturday per month for 6 months, from 10AM - 2PM. Dates are as follows.

FIQ-101 is a 6 month online program. Students are expected to cover 2 hours of lectures per week, as per the Umdat ul Fiqh study plan.
We encourage students to enrol in both AQD-101 and FIQ-101 simultaneously to gain a comprehensive understanding of Islamic belief and jurisprudence.
Can I join online?
Yes! All courses are available online for our remote and international students. FIQ-101 has pre-recorded lectures. AQD-101 will be live-streamed, recorded, and shared to students as we progress through the semester.
